This poem is an extract from the book Pigments, with a preface by Robert Desnos and an engraved wood by Frans Masereel. Paris: G.L.M. Éditeurs, 1937 for the first edition.
The book has been forbidden in 1939 for comitting offences against State security!!!
Final edition with a preface by Robert Goffin and a drawing “out of text” by Max Pinchinat, Paris: Présence Africaine, 1962.
