Maria J. Martinez

Maria J. Martinez is the President/CEO of Border Federal Credit Union (BFCU), headquartered in Del Rio, TX and serving 13 Texas counties. Maria has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting and has been in the credit union industry for over 29 years, 21 of those as BFCU’s President/CEO.

Under Maria’s leadership, BFCU expanded its field of membership and implemented many programs that have benefited our community, such as free financial counseling services, free income tax preparation, special loan products, scholarships for students and teachers, the annual youth fair, the annual Youth Financial Summer Conference and many other programs.

Maria serves in numerous local, state and national Boards and has received several local, state and national recognitions and awards for her community contributions and leadership.

Maria has also made presentations at local, state, national and international seminars, workshops, and conferences on various financial topics and credit union issues. Maria was born in Mexico, immigrated to the USA when she was 13, grew up in San Antonio, TX, is married and has three children.

Paula Arno Martinez

Paula Arno Martinez was initiated in Fall 2004 at Chi Chapter at the University of Texas at San Antonio. As an alumnae she has served on the National Constitution and Bylaws Committee and served as Regional Chair, Chapter Development Officer, and Vice President of Standards. She is currently the Chair of the Board of Directors and is the incoming National President. Paula graduated from UTSA in 2007 and from Texas Southern University Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 2012. She is currently an immigration attorney representing farm workers in Washington State.

Briana Jarnagin

Briana Jarnagin is an alumna of the Beta Theta chapter and currently works as the Program Coordinator, Community Engagement in the Office for Diversity, Literacy and Outreach Services at the American Library Association. In this role, she provides programmatic support for recruitment and retention efforts through expertise in community engagement, including communicating across diverse groups, event management, and engaging ALA membership in leadership opportunities and professional development tools. Briana is a member of the 2019 Chicago cohort of the Obama Foundation Community Leadership Corps and previously interned with the Illinois Holocaust Museum and the Center for Neighborhood Technology. She graduated summa cum laude from the Northeastern Illinois University Honors Program and holds a BA in geography with minors in sociology and geographic information science.

Jenika Williams - Duron

Jenika Williams - Duron is the incoming Vice President of Leadership Conference. She was Fall 2013 through the Delta Alpha Chapter. She received her bachelor's from the university of Wisconsin- Parkside, and her Master's from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. As an Alumna, Jenika has Served as the Midwest Alumnae Regional Chair, and two terms as the Alumnae Chapter Development officer.
