What is The Thomas Jefferson Model of the United Nations?
The Model of the United Nations is a real debate simulation, it is carried out by the students of different schools around the Mexican Republic, it is organized by the “Instituto Thomas Jefferson” every year, it is made in the different campuses the school have around the country. Students from many schools are invited to come and defend their positions as delegates of a country against the problems the world is facing. Each debate has a person in charge of moderating it, as well as a “chair” that must decide who wins the debate. A country will be assigned to each delegate for him to defend it, also they will have two topics that result to be a problem in the modern world, the job of the delegates is to find a solution for these topics.
The "TJMUN", has secretaries and under secretaries, these people are in charge of running the Model of the United Nations. they control committees and organized all the event.
