YEO Bios Christine Ingrassia Alderwoman St. Louis, Missouri Christine Ingrassia currently serves as the alderwoman of the 6th Ward in St. Louis, Missouri. Prior to her election in April of 2013, she was a volunteer for the Gate District East Neighborhood Association, as well as her local political party organization. Ingrassia previously worked for the Vashon Jeff Vanderlou Initiative as the director of community outreach where she was responsible for managing community revitalization and stabilization efforts, with a focus on serving and empowering low–to moderate-income residents. @chryssi Christopher A. Johnson Council Member Yonkers, New York Christopher A. Johnson obtained his bachelor’s degree in political science from Long Island University-C.W. Post Campus in 2006, and immediately joined Andrea Stewart-Cousins’ successful campaign for state senate. Johnson first served as her community liaison and eventually as her deputy chief of staff. In May 2011, Johnson completed his master’s degree in education at Fordham University. After receiving support from his political party, in September 2011 Johnson won a primary and a general election to become the councilmember representing the 1st District on the Yonkers City Council. After taking office, Johnson’s focus on the city council has been fighting for affordable housing and local jobs for people in the community. Johnson was born and raised in the Bronx and is the eldest of three siblings. Today Johnson lives in Yonkers, where several generations of his family lived before him, with his wife, Tai. @HonChrisJohnson Jamie Johnson School Board Member Fort Valley, Georgia YEO National Convening | 2015 Jamie Johnson’s political endeavors began January 2007, when he became the youngest individual sworn in as a member of the Peach County Board of Education and youngest board of education member in the state of Georgia. Johnson is currently in his third term of office, in which he has served as the vice-chair for two years and chairman for four years. He was raised in the Middle Georgia area, attending school in the Houston and Peach County school systems, and attended college at Fort Valley State University majoring in political science. Johnson is the senior pastor of James Temple Miracle Center of Fort Valley and works for the Georgia Department of Corrections as a chaplain. Johnson also serves as a Suffragan Bishop to the United Covenant Churches of Christ based out of Brooklyn, NY, and received an honorary doctorate of divinity from Saint Thomas 6
