YEO Bios Tiffany Hamilton City Councilmember Port Arthur, Texas City Councilmember Tiffany Hamilton represents District 2 on the Port Arthur City Council. She is also a partner at TLHamilton Enterprises, LLC. Hamilton received a bachelor of business administration in marketing degree from Xavier University of Louisiana, and received her M.B.A. from American InterContinental University. Matt Haney Vice President, School Board San Francisco, California Vice President Haney has fought for public education over the past 10 years as an advocate, educator, organizer, and policy analyst. Haney has introduced and passed new policies and initiatives related to school discipline, student voice, diverse and relevant curriculum, African American student achievement, computer science and technology, local contracting and hiring, gun violence, and unaccompanied immigrant children. As the director of policy for Dream Corps, he leads policy advocacy for #cut50, a bipartisan initiative to cut the prison population in half in 10 years, and #YesWeCode, an initiative to create a pipeline for 100,000 low-opportunity youth to become coders, computer engineers, and designers. Haney serves as an adjunct faculty member at the Stanford University d.school, where he uses human centered design to incubate new ideas in education. Haney earned a B.A. from UC Berkeley, an M.A. from the Stanford University School of Education, a J.D. from Stanford Law School, and an LL.M. in human rights from National University of Ireland. @matthaneysf Matt Hansen State Senator Lincoln, Nebraska YEO National Convening | 2015 State Senator Matt Hansen serves in the Nebraska Legislature, representing District 26 in Northeast Lincoln. He was elected in November 2014 and serves on the Legislature’s General Affairs, Urban Affairs, and Government, Military and Veterans Affairs Committees and is the Chair of Enrollment and Review. A Lincoln native, he is a graduate of the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and the University Of Nebraska College Of Law. 62
