Sean Garballey
State Representative
Arlington, Massachusetts
Sean Garballey is a member of the Massachusetts House of
Representatives, representing the 23rd district. He was elected in a special
election in March 2008 after the incumbent won a 2007 special election for
a seat in the Massachusetts State Senate. Representative Garballey earned
his B.A. in political science from the University of Massachusetts-Lowell
and attended Suffolk University. He has been a member of his local political
party committee and serves on the Health Care Financing, Municipalities and Regional Government,
and Ways and Means Committees.
Carmelo G. Garcia
State Assemblyman
Hoboken, New Jersey
Carmelo Garcia was elected to the New Jersey General Assembly
in January 2014, representing the 33rd district which includes the
municipalities of Jersey City, Hoboken, Union City, and Weehawken.
Assemblyman Garcia serves on the Transportation, Public Works/
Independent Authorities, Financial Institutions and Insurance and Human
Services Committees. He has earned certifications in human resource
management from Rutgers University and in leadership and organizational development from
Cornell University. Garcia was selected in 2012 by NeighborWorks of America to attend the Achieving
Excellence in Community Development Program at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of
Government. Assemblyman Garcia was the first minority representative to be appointed to serve as
the Director of Health and Human Services for the City of Hoboken. @CarmeloGarcia
