litigator with Bryan Cave LLP and later led the successful Los Angeles launch of The Spark Program, a
nonprofit organization that connects at-risk middle school students with apprenticeships. Prior to his
law career, he worked for the National Democratic Institute and then as the communications director
for Congressman Jose Serrano. Allen has degrees from Harvard, Cambridge, and UC-Berkeley.
Sarah Anthony
County Commissioner
Lansing, Michigan
Sarah Anthony was elected as Ingham County Commissioner in 2012 and
reelected in 2014. Anthony serves as the chair of the county’s Finance
Committee and a member of the Human Services Committee, and she
previously served as the chair of her party’s caucus on the Ingham County
Commission. To date, Anthony is the youngest African American female
county commissioner in the country, and has worked hard to be a voice
for disadvantaged communities, working families, and young people. As liaison to the commission’s
Equal Opportunity Committee, she worked to pass a countywide “ban the box” policy. Anthony was
born and raised in Lansing’s Southside, graduating from Everett High School, as well as Central and
Western Michigan Universities. In 2007, she worked with State Representative Joan Bauer, where she
served as the community relations’ liaison and worked closely with Rep. Bauer on higher education
policy. Anthony is involved with her political party’s county affiliate and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority
Inc., among others.

Archange Antoine represents a dynamic fusion of passion and dedication
through his tireless efforts toward providing realistic approaches for
improving the quality of life for poor and middle-class people. With his
unique ability to connect with individuals from various walks of life, Antoine
constantly utilizes the power of education, love, and faith to empower
others to undertake active roles in their communities and in the political
process. He is the president at Savviors & Associates, a management and public affairs consulting
firm, and the founder of Success for America, an organization committed to the advancement of
the American people through training, educating, and advocacy. In 2011, Antoine was elected to the
Roselle Board of Education where he currently serves as president. His main objective is to be an
example for, and to help cultivate, the next generation of leaders who will lead the state of New Jersey
