Mandy Wright Greg Young Ward Supervisor Gloversville, New York Gregory Young is a ward supervisor for the city of Gloversville, New York. In addition to teaching courses in local, state, and national government at Finger Lakes Community College, Young has also worked with the New York Council for the Humanities to develop a variety of programs to encourage lifelong civic engagement and the advancement of public humanities. Young holds volunteer and leadership positions in variety of causes and community organizations in the Rochester, New York area. He holds bachelor’s (magna cum laude) and master’s degrees in history and political science from the College of Saint Rose and is currently completing a PhD in American studies at the University at Buffalo. Young is also proud graduate of the Front Line Leaders Academy. Claire Zautke School Board Director Milwaukee, Wisconsin Claire Zautke was elected as the Milwaukee Board of School Directors’ Representative in April 2013. She brings several years of experience in issue and community advocacy to this position, having worked previously in the office of the county executive. Zautke has also worked as a field director, volunteer coordinator, and project consultant for community and faithbased organizations in the city. Board Director Zautke attended the Milwaukee French Immersion School and Samuel Morse School before going on to graduate magna cum laude from Carthage College with a bachelor’s degree in political science and a minor in French. She believes that attending Milwaukee Public Schools provided her with opportunities that no other schools could and will continue to work hard to ensure that those opportunities will always exist for Milwaukee’s children. @ClaireZautke Stay connected: Keep the #YEOmentum going with @YEONetwork 77 YOUNG ELECTED O FFICIALS State Representative Wausau, Wisconsin Representative Mandy Wright works as a teacher and volunteer to empower her community. Wright has taught as a sixth grade teacher and after-school coordinator, served of directors for Family Planning Health Services, and organized a “food camp” for sustainable food production. As a legislator, Representative Wright serves on the following committees: small business development, education, agriculture, farming, and consumer protection. She is a graduate of Emerge Wisconsin and is actively involved on the Speaker’s Task Force on Rural Schools. Through her involvement in community groups, Mandy has seen the need for local citizens to be involved in the political process and advocate for the best interests of the community. Wright received a BA from St. Olaf College and has an MA in education from Viterbo University. @repmandywright
