YOUNG ELECTED OFFICIALS 52 Kaniela Ing State Representative Kihei, Hawaii Representative Kaniela Ing, born and raised in Maui, was elected to serve the 11th House District in 2012. As the youngest member of the state legislature at 24 years old, Representative Ing believes that in order to bolster our local economy and advance a fair society, we must care for disadvantaged populations, invest in education, and encourage sustainable agriculture and energy practices. Ing seeks to usher in a new era of public service and to restore public trust in government by promoting clean government and election reform policies. Representative Ing attended all public schools, specifically the Kamehameha Schools Maui, Maui Community College, the University of Hawaii at Manoa, and American University’s graduate school in Washington, DC. He has worked in various roles in the business, government, and nonprofit sectors. @Votekanielaing Christine Ingrassia Alderwoman St. Louis, Missouri Christine Ingrassia currently serves as the alderwoman of the 6th Ward in St. Louis, Missouri. Prior to her election in April of 2013, she was a volunteer for the Gate District East Neighborhood Association, as well as the 6th Ward Democratic Organization. Ingrassia previously worked for the Vashon Jeff Vanderlou Initiative as the director of community outreach where she was responsible for managing community revitalization and stabilization efforts, with a
