On behalf of the City of Los Angeles, I welcome you to the 2014 Young Elected Officials
Network National Convening. I am pleased that your leadership has decided to hold
your convention here in our city.
Like all of you, I began my career in office before my 35th birthday and sincerely
appreciate YEO’s tradition of developing young elected officials’ ability to govern and
lead. Its consistent dedication to supporting good governance has helped public
servants better sustain the communities they represent and succeed.
