HIBAH HUSSAIN Google Hibah Hussain is a public policy analyst at Google. She supports Google’s mission to organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful by managing partnerships with a variety of groups in DC. Previously, Hussain worked as a policy researcher at the New America Foundation’s Open Technology Institute and an account optimizer at Google. Hussain also spent time at the Berkman Center for Internet and Society and the BBC’s Washington Bureau. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Carleton College, where she was heavily involved in campus radio and independent music. She also holds a MS with Distinction from the London School of Economics and Political Science. NICOLE NEDITCH Code for America Nicole Neditch directs the fellowship program at Code for America. This fellowship pairs civic-minded developers, designers, and product managers with local governments to collaborate on civic issues. Fellows and government staff work together to build apps, foster new approaches to problem solving, and tackle social issues that have a significant impact the community. Fellows and cities have worked on issues such as providing better access to social services, finding alternatives to incarceration, and paving new ways for public input. Prior to joining Code for America, Neditch worked for the city of Oakland in the Office of the City Administrator.
