Applications Received
Four applications received at the end of March 2011 still needed to be assessed, and the timeframe of the assessment is therefore applicable to the next financial year.
During the year under review the Tribunal experienced a 183 %( from 488 to 1382) increase in the number of cases in all categories.
Of the 1382 cases that were filed, 61 % were initially incomplete, ie, not all the filing requirements were met. Of interest is that though fewer nonconsent order applications were received over the year compared to the previous year, the number of completed applications have increased by 21,4 %, from 62 % to 83,4 %. This bears witness to the Tribunal’ s strategy of assisting parties to render their cases complete in order for them to be adjudicated on.
