Standing out in the crowd sometimes seems impossible - for me I've always struggled. Growing up, I was shy, very average in looks and height and I got severe social anxiety. I never knew that made me stand out, I could just about keep up with the fashion and latest trends and I have very little confidence. It got to the point where I was used to blending in with the crowd, I expected to be overlooked and to be honest, I felt comfortable there for a while. As I got older, it began to feel very toxic and it led me to experience severe panic attacks.
When I started my first job, I knew I was going to have to change something. I wanted to make friends and I want to stand out in some way. I remember asking my brother what made a girl stand out to him and he said "a confident girl will stand out in any room."
