2005 , CellTech Metals was founded with the objective of creating a derivative lightweight metal honeycomb panel product . Through this accomplishment , CellTech currently holds 22 worldwide patents , allowing it to influence numerous industries and applications .
With vast opportunities of this new technology , Doug Cox , Founder , and CEO , alongside Chief Ph . D . Engineer Fabien Ebnoether decided to focus on the transportation industry . Beginning in 2011 , CellTech Metals found an immediate growth opportunity by developing a panel systems for the 53 ’ dry-van and truck body industries . With the significant growth CellTech was experiencing with transportation , Doug soon realized that the Cell- Tech panel system could revolutionize the enclosed cargo trailer industry . In 2015 , he started working with a large trailer manufacturer to develop and grow this business opportunity , but after working with the traditional trailer manufacturers , found that his vision of a “ forever ” trailer was not a match for the “ save at all costs ” approach . With this traditional cargo manufacturing mindset , Doug was frustrated and decided to manufacture his own CellTech trailers , bringing CellTech Trailers ’ production in-house , where he now manufactures CellTech Metal panels and CellTec Trailers under the same roof .
