s one of only 3 original manufacturers of drop-deck trailers , Triple L Trailers has had plenty of time to perfect its design for construction and industrial needs everywhere .
NATDA ’ s National Account Manager , Jonathan Spiller , sat down with Sales Associate Sean Hosford to discuss the company ’ s unique role in the industry .
Jonathan Spiller , NATDA : Please tell us a little about your company ’ s history . What about Triple L Trailers is unique in the industry ?
Hosford : Started in Riverside , California , and just having moved to a manufacturing facility in Chino , California , Triple L has been creating drop-deck trailers since 2003 . The company is run by a small team of ten , three to four of which have been with Triple L Trailers for 15 years or more .
There are only about three drop-deck trailers out there , and we ’ re one of the originals of this specific type of trailer . Additionally , Triple L Trailers produces the original hydraulic lowering trailers and invented the patented Power Deck technology , a hydraulic mechanism that can be used to lower the entire deck of the trailer to the ground . Essentially , this eliminates the need to drive , pull , winch , or push a payload up or down a loading ramp , leading to increased productivity and safety . The result of this invention has led to a more efficient solution to load construction and industrial equipment , machines and supplies .
NATDA : What is your most popular product ? What about the product ’ s features should dealers know about ?
Hosford : Triple L Trailers ’ most popular product is its Power Deck trailer that lowers all the way down to the ground . Specific models that are most popular are the 449 , 7610 and 1014 . The increased safety and efficiency of these products is appealing to dealers and consumers alike .
NATDA : What should know dealers about Triple L Trailers , its products and its staff ? What sets you apart from other trailer manufacturers ?
Hosford : Triple L Trailers has been around for over 17 years , and for good reason . The trailers are very well built and have a longlife span . Employees stick around , too — Triple L Trailers has the same crew and General Manager from when it was part of JLG Industries , Inc ., prior to 2020 .
