Hailing from South Africa, it was important
for Botha to deal with the multitude of
different state and federal regulations in
order to import the trailers to his dealers.
“We put a considerable amount of time
and effort into ensuring our products
are fit for titling in the states that we sell
them in,” Botha states.
The hard work paid off, because the
company received Appendix G clearance
from Transport Canada, meaning its
products are considered the highest-
quality and have pre-clearance for both
import and titling.
The company officially “launched” in
2016 with an appearance at the Texas
Trophy Hunters Extravaganza. According
to Botha, it was an experience that gave
him confirmation that his product was a
fit for the North American market.
“Our stand was packed to the rafters
with interested consumers,” he says,”
mentioning again and again that they had
never seen something like this.”
Botha believes the crowds he encountered
in Texas easily translate to dealership
success. With gas prices, vehicle prices
and other factors leading to smaller
towing vehicles, Venter Trailers provide an
option that can be packed away and ready

to go at a moment’s notice. Ultimately,
for consumers, it’s a representation of the
dream of exploring the outdoors.
As the man helping facilitate making that
dream a reality, Botha’s ensured dealers
an easy path to consumers’ hearts.
“We have a simple and fair trade
agreement. A dealer orders his stock,
with a 50% payment on order and
another 50% payment when the order
ships. There’s no franchise fee, setup
costs, ‘dealer rights’ purchases or anything
of the sort. It couldn’t be easier,” Botha
explains of the process.
A man of his word regarding providing a
consumer’s escape at a low price, Botha
will have a special option for dealers at
the 2018 NATDA Trade Show. He says
the company plans to have a limited
number of consignment stock available -
while it lasts, of course.
With the Savuti, a model that doubles
as a tarmac trailer that can be used to
transport luggage, and the top-of-the-
range Off-Roader, complete with custom
roof-top tents and a kitchenette, and
more, Venter Trailers almost has a model
for any occasion.
