Author ’ s Note : I met Bobby Fantarella at the 2021 NATDA Trailer Show in Nashville , Tennessee . While a good show by all accounts , it did not start off the best for me personally . When an educational class was forced to cancel ( this was just after things had opened post- COVID ), an irritated Bobby Fantarella , owner of Elm City Trailer in Woodbridge , Connecticut , expressed his disappointment in the situation to me directly . He didn ’ t mince words , either .
Bobby explained that the two technicians he brought specifically for the show were not able to do something that really mattered to his business . Though he could understand that I didn ’ t have control over the class cancellation , he thought that there should have been more education that were not only applicable for his technicians but didn ’ t cost additional money .
So , for the 2022 NATDA Trailer Show , we not only had the largest education lineup in the show ’ s history , but we created a Service Track of seminars . While not perfect , we hope it ’ s a segment of our show that will continue to grow in future years . I owe it , in large part , to my conversation with Bobby Fantarella . – Corey Langley
