The Boomer and Boomer XL, essentially, is a larger version of
the Joey but with a 12’ or 16’ cargo area equipped with aluminum
ramps and a cargo tie down system.
While the original idea may have been specifically for the overland
crowd, Stoll says the 2019 NATDA Trade Show & Convention
provided new ideas to consider.
“Almost everyone we talked to at the show said, ‘that would work
for tailgating’, so we are now looking at adding a specific tailgate
version.” Stoll says. “It wouldn’t have a roof tent, but would have
more grill space, table space, a TV and things like that.”
In South Carolina, Stoll says there’s almost 200,000 people on a
given Saturday that are at a football game when both state colleges
are at home. It’s a market, he believes, that can be “bigger than
tent trailers.”

Stoll’s ambitious plans extend even further than just another line.
He recently leased another building, estimating to add another
four to six employees to his current eighteen-person operation.
He also expects to produce six to eight units a week, all of which
will be powder coated.
Fortunately, Stoll’s current manufacturing capabilities means his
dealers can expect additional benefits. According to Stoll, he
expects a unit like the Joey to retail for around $16,000, which
he estimates dealers can expect a profit margin of approximately
25%.
While not the traditional trailer that most light and medium-duty
trailer dealerships offer, HOOOROO’s Joey and Boomer give a
unique, easy and fun way to reach a demographic sorely in need of
an adventurous trailer.
