TASKMASTER COMPONENTS
TO LAUNCH REVOLUTIONARY
MARINE TRAILER WHEEL
Taskmaster Components is preparing
to launch the Dark Matter steel trailer
wheel with its innovative ESR (Extreme
Salt Resistance) Finish.
ESR is set to revolutionize the trailer
wheel market. This remarkably
durable matte black coating is sprayed
on, and eliminates the need for the
environmentally harmful galvanizing
process; The Dark Matter wheel performs
better than galvanized wheels in the salt
spray test chamber.
MIDSOTA MANUFACTURING
EXPANDING AVON, MN
FACILITY
Minnesota-based Midsota
Manufacturing is adding capacity to
their facility in Avon, Minnesota.
With 30,000 square feet of space,
Midsota Manufacturing’s team will
handle sandblasting, painting and
finishing in the new building. The
new facility will help streamline
the manufacturing process to meet
the growing demand from Midsota
Manufacturing’s network of dealers
across the continent.
Construction began on the new
facility in early September and will be
online in early 2018.
“We are absolutely thrilled with the test
results of our new ESR finish, said Tom
Walker, Taskmaster Component’s CEO.
“A sprayed-on finish lasting more than
700 hours in the salt spray chamber is
unheard of in the wheel industry.”
After being exposed to weather and
salt water, galvanized wheels develop an
unattractive oxidization on their surface.
This oxidization is referred to in the
industry as “white rot”, ESR is set to
do away with unsightly white rot while
capitalizing on a trend in the trailer wheel
market: customers want aesthetically
pleasing trailer wheels. Trailer wheels are
not just about utility anymore. This wheel
allows the customer to have both an
attractive and maintenance free wheel.
The new wheel is available in both spoke
and modular options ranging from 13
-16” beginning this fall.

Along with the new facility, Midsota
Manufacturing is implementing a
Parts Department with a full-line
Parts Catalog. These additions will
give dealers easy access to a wide
selection of trailer parts, from axles
and tires to electrical and hydraulics.
Parts will be readily available to ship
via ground, truck or trailer loads.
Midsota Manufacturing plans to
introduce the Parts Catalog to its
dealers in the coming months.
