The first-time NATDA Trailer Show exhibitor prides itself on bringing solutions to life . With its background in contracting , it understands the need for an urgency in customer support . Although relatively new in the utility trailer market , it ’ s building a following with its products throughout the U . S . and Canada by bringing solutions to its customers ’ challenges with efficient , highvalue solutions .
NATDA ’ s National Account Manager , Jonathan Spiller , sat down with Davis Village Solutions ’ Co-Owner , David Somero , to discuss the company ’ s ethos and gain a little insight on what to expect from its time at this year ’ s NATDA Trailer Show .
Jonathan Spiller , NATDA : What is your most popular product ?
Somero : The patented ANTS 14 / 16 Conveyor model along with our 7 / 12X and 14 / 20X Drop Deck models . These trailers are an asset to anyone that uses trailers a lot and needs efficiency and labor savings in the contracting , equipment or material handling arenas .
NATDA : What about these trailers particularly stand out in your mind ?
Somero : On the 14 / 16 model , there is a remote-controlled conveyor and tilt function . On the 7 / 12X and 14 / 20X , the hydraulic tilt and low deck angle set them apart . All models are built robustly with a high level of quality from design , material selection , fabrication , coatings and wiring .
NATDA : Do you have anything in place to protect sales territories of the dealers in your network ?
Somero : We have been mainly fueling our growth by direct sales , but we are exploring several options and scenarios in potential distribution channels . Currently , we are open to options and willing to explore opportunities .
NATDA : Do you provide product training of any kind ?
Somero : We can and would recommend training to our network of dealers and , ultimately , end-users . However , we currently do not have a formulaic training approach , instead choosing to handle everything on a case-by-case basis .
NATDA : What does your warranty policy look like ? If needed , how soon should dealers expect any warranty repair reimbursement or replacement parts ?
Somero : We offer a one-year warranty . However , we ’ ve been fortunate enough to have created a product that has resulted in a very low number of reimbursements . Typically , our dealers can be expected to be reimbursed within 30 to 60 days .
NATDA : What does this year ’ s NATDA Trailer Show look like for Davis Village Solutions ?
Somero : It ’ s our first time at the NATDA Trailer Show , so we ’ re excited to educate dealers on the incredible options we have available . We ’ re looking forward to getting even more involved in the industry and exploring more opportunities for growth .
That being said , we will be displaying some fairly new options , especially the side-mounted , onboard control panel for our ANTS 14 / 16 conveyor model .
