2025 NATDA Trailer Tech Expo: A New Era of Innovation, Networking, and Recognition
I had the honor of attending the 2025 NATDA Trailer Tech Expo, which marked a significant and refreshing new chapter for the association.
With a one-day show floor, every exhibitor— from Liberty Trailers to other cutting-edge companies— maximized their presence. The intentionally smaller exhibitor list allowed for deeper, more meaningful conversations. For Liberty Trailers, the event was a success, debuting our patent-pending“ Detach and Defend” removable tow bar system, which received incredible feedback. Beyond signing new dealers, it was about strengthening relationships and driving industry progress.
The keynote breakfast panel, moderated by my good friend Ken Swank, Co-Owner of White Spruce Trailer Sales, tackled some tough but essential questions about the intersection of innovation, affordability, and repairability. One key takeaway: the ongoing challenge of balancing technological advancements with the practicalities of repair and cost. As the industry continues to evolve, the market will ultimately determine whether new innovations are sustainable and scalable for the majority of trailer businesses.
The Industry Excellence Awards Banquet was another highlight, celebrating leaders in the industry. Several women were honored as trailblazers, a testament to the growing talent pool of women in the trailer industry. Liberty Trailers was proud to be nominated for two awards and was honored to take home the Customer Service Excellence award.
Before the show kicked off, the Dealer and Manufacturer Councils met to collaborate on shared new ideas, common ground and how to continue driving the industry forward. We look forward to ongoing discussions throughout the year on these ideas to keep pushing the trailer industry toward innovation, growth, and collaboration.
In all, the 2025 NATDA Trailer Tech Expo was a great success— a mix of innovation, education, and community that sets the stage for an exciting future in the trailer industry.
Thank you to all who came out to Reno and participated and supported the event.
