Riechers Truck Bodies prides itself on having been a family-owned company since its inception in 1934 . The Missouri-based company has made many changes throughout its storied history , but its three core principles – Quality , Durability and Pride in Manufacturing – have remained the same .
“ The company originally started with building truck beds and wagons for the agricultural industry ,” says Tom Biehle , the company ’ s President . “ Over the last eighty-seven years , we ’ ve grown into a regional leader in stake and landscape body manufacturing and upfitting , and now distribute nationally to some of the top landscaping companies in the country .”
With its storied history , Riechers has developed a legacy of repeat customers due to its outstanding customer service and unique customization options .
“ If the dealers have customers with particular specifications , we can build based on those requests ,” Biehle says . “ We can do whatever our dealers need to ensure the job of upfitting the truck is not only easier but meets the customer ’ s request . We feel this sets us apart from other companies , many of whom only have fixed options available for purchase .”
Developing and manufacturing custom truck bodies is not only the core of the company ’ s business model , but also where it is planning for growth in the coming years . Riechers has expanded its manufacturing plant to accommodate and serve new dealers around the country as demand continues to grow . The additional space has provided faster manufacturing times of its core product – the Stake Body . These unique products , available in both steel and aluminum , will be the company ’ s showcase truck bodies at the 2021 NATDA Trailer Show in Nashville , Tennessee .
