This year , NATDA will unveil a level of dealer-specific education that surpasses anything it has ever done . Some of this year ’ s speakers you ’ ve heard before , some are brand new . Either way , this year has offerings for everyone in your dealership . While there are still many more to be announced , I ’ m pleased to introduce to you the first five educators at this year ’ s show .
Eric Johnson , Vice President of Christensen Group Insurance , specializes in insurance solutions for truck / trailer / heavyequipment dealers , transportation , construction and automotiverelated risks . That ’ s why he ’ s the perfect person to provide insight on the multitude of risks your dealership faces and offer a unique perspective on how to strategically manage them to maximize the protection of your balance sheet .
Speaking of risks , it ’ s important to understand how to eliminate them within your workforce . Therefore , we ’ ve asked Frank Zych , Jr ., a seasoned HR professional with 35 + years of experience , to highlight the important “ If only …” scenarios employers face in their day .
Returning to the education lineup is Anvil Media , Inc .’ s President & Founder Kent Lewis . A well-known and respected thought leader in the industry , Lewis will not only teach dealers how to create a powerful social media presence with limited resources but will conduct an in-person clinic to provide real-time insights and recommendations for your specific dealership .
Education isn ’ t only for those in the office , though . Dexter ’ s Product Training Manager , Bill Snider , returns to conduct his hands-on workshops , teaching your technicians proper axle and electric brake servicing techniques for both those newer to the industry and the more experienced .
While he was unable to make it last year due to unforeseeable circumstances , I ’ m excited to announce that Premium Supply ’ s Jeff Murphy will be onsite this year to train technicians and service advisors in hydraulic lift mechanisms , battery optimization methods , cylinder operation and more .
Finally , I ’ m pleased to introduce Matt McKinley of Unconscious Momentum . You may know him as the owner of Triple M Trailers , but he ’ s also a DISC Human Behavior Consultant and Zig Ziglar Certified Trainer . More than anything , he understands the value of relationships in business and he ’ ll explain how creating better ones strengthens your dealership in numerous ways .
These are but a few participants of this year ’ s record-breaking number of seminars . In the coming months , you ’ ll see just how expansive this year ’ s education is .
