“Social media is going to raise your gross sales. We have to get our name out, so people know what we have and are willing to drive a couple of hours to purchase from us,” he shared. Taking Kapp Trailer Sales & Service further into the next level, Schroeder ventured out into other avenues of the dealership’s presence. “We expanded our inventory when we opened the new location,” he said. “We put more trailers on the lot and got with the times. We’re on Facebook now and we’ve launched a new website with pricing and inventory online.” Customers are welcomed by 17,500 square-feet of inventory and service space when they enter the new dealership. Kapp Trailer Sales & Service takes pride in offering the inventory needed, stocking just about every model that Trailerman by Novae has to offer. The company also recently welcomed Bravo Trailers LLC to its portfolio. “We went to the NATDA show in St. Louis and were looking for enclosed lines. We were dead set on looking at two or three other trailers and didn’t have Bravo in mind. After meeting with the guys and seeing their display, it worked out to where that was the trailer we wanted. Now, we’re looking to stock anywhere from 20-30 Bravo enclosed units,” Schroeder mentioned. In addition to Bravo Trailers LLC’s enclosed line, Kapp Trailer Sales & Service also offers recreational trailers, offering side-by-side trailers and custom options so customers can play as hard as they work. Though mergers can be uncertain at times, Kapp Trailer Sales & Service has instantly proven to be an exception to the rule. Between Schroeder’s determination and Doc’s vast knowledge, the “new” dealership is sure to be a part of its community for another thirty years or more. www.natda.org NATDA Magazine 17
