With around 20 employees across both sites now, Central Trailer Sales stays nimble and humble. They keep their lots fresh by actively managing inventory to ensure the newest and most in-demand trailer models are available. Brian’ s customer-first mindset shows in the work ethic: going“ above and beyond” isn’ t just a phrase, it’ s how he operates in every aspect of the dealership.
In the past few months, with tax rates and tariffs ever changing, contractors and other small businesses keep both lots busy, with dump and deck trailers now outpacing utility trailers in sales.
Diverse Inventory and Skilled Service Both the East Bethel and Jordan lots reflect a carefully chosen mix of trailers manufactured by PJ, Discovery, Diamond C, and specialty brands like CellTech. Most recently added: Polar King came out of a trip their team took to NATDA’ s Trailer Tech Expo in Reno this past February. He comments on the visit to Trailer Tech Expo,“ We weren’ t looking to add any new lines when we went to Reno but having that dedicated facetime with so many manufacturers gave us time to evaluate our needs. We are happy with the new addition and so are our customers!”
Beyond selling trailers, their service team now specializes in custom work on trailers: everything from window installs to enclosed trailer renovations, all backed by technicians with significant experience.
Marketing That Moves the Needle Marketing has always been a key focus for Brian. Over the last year, their team has grown to include Marketing Manager Mahli Wold, who has been key to growing their digital footprint. Their website serves as a true business hub, while YouTube brings in nationwide interest and Facebook Marketplace drives consistent local leads.
After being named a finalist for the Marketing Excellence Award at Trailer Tech Expo Powered by NATDA, Mahli reflected on the recognition:“ Recognition like this really hits home. In digital work, so much happens quietly in the background, and it’ s easy to feel like your efforts go unseen. So when the industry takes a moment to acknowledge what we’ ve built together, it’ s not just a compliment— it’ s a reminder of the hard work and team collaboration that goes into it.”
The Backbone of Trailer Industry Progress Brian has been a NATDA member since 2007 and remembers attending the first NATDA Trailer Show in Texas. Always looking for ways to get ahead, he’ s also attended trade shows in parallel industries, recognizing that the trailer world sometimes lags behind automotive and RVs. NATDA offered a way to close that gap, to stay competitive and sharpen their edge.“ We’ ve always looked for anything that helps push us forward,” Brian says.“ And from day one, NATDA was also pushing change and modernization in the trailer industry.”
When it comes to the NATDA Trailer Show and Trailer Tech Expo Powered by NATDA, his advice to dealerships looking to attend for the first time is to GO! He added,“ Look at what’ s new, meet the manufacturers, and make the most of your time.”
Over the years attending the NATDA Trailer Show, and now Trailer Tech Expo, he still never knows what his dealership needs until he attends.“ There is no better place for furthering your business than the gains there.”
Looking Ahead After more than 20 years, Brian keeps pushing Central Trailer Sales: taking risks, expanding locations, and building for the future. With a clear vision for quality customer care, services and products on his lots, he has no plans to slow down. For Brian, the road ahead isn’ t about keeping up, it’ s about leading the way.
