After years of supply chain issues plaguing trailer manufacturers and suppliers alike , one company has stepped up to solve the problem at the source . With its background in purchasing and production , the reliable Besser Products is proving itself a force to be reckoned with .
NATDA ’ s National Account Manager , Jonathan Spiller , sat down with Besser Products ’ CEO , Willy Dyck , and General Manager , Darren Lee , to discuss the company ’ s focus and role in the industry .
Willy : As with many ideas , Besser Products was born out of a rising problem . We recognized that many manufacturers in the industry were struggling with their supply chain , needing more axles in a shorter amount of time . These issues have only been exacerbated over the last year and a half . We realized every problem needs a solution , so we set out to be that solution to our customers .
NATDA : What about Besser Products is unique in the industry ?
Willy : At Besser , we set ourselves apart with reliability . We do not oversell our production capabilities or take on more partners than we can reliably supply . We want to exceed the expectations of our customers by being a consistent and reliable source with the flexibility to offer short lead times . Our goal is to offer peace of mind in a world of uncertainty .
NATDA : What products do you produce ?
Darren : Besser Pro currently manufactures spring axles in 3.5k- 8k ratings and we are planning to offer 10k and 12k axles by the end of the year . Another exciting project we have on the horizon is a line of torsion axles .
Jonathan Spiller , NATDA : Tell us about the history and background of Besser Products . Was the company born out of demand or was demand created after the idea of Besser came about ?
NATDA : Are you looking to pick up manufacturer partners , distributors or go direct to end consumers in dealership / repair locations ?
