Since 2016, both dealers and exhibitors alike have expressed their desire to head back to the Music City. We are pleased to say our excitement to return to Nashville has not faded, but COVID-19 has changed things just a bit. In order to place our event further away from this year’s pandemic, we’ve officially moved the 2020 NATDA Trailer Show to October 26-28. The additional time will allow the city to open up responsibly, ensuring the safest of circumstances for attendees and exhibitors alike. While it may be different than what we’re used to, the new dates will still allow us to keep the entire show and its segments intact. Luckily for our association, the 2020 NATDA Trailer Show will still have everything necessary for the dealerships to combat any slow-down that has affected them over the past few months. Dealership Performance Training seminars will provide the insights needed for your dealership’s rebound into the fourth quarter, including workshops on formulating COVID-19 recovery plans, budgeting for online marketing and more. You will find a detailed outline of these classes in Tech Training Workshops (Page 38) and Business Management Courses (Page 42) and a continuation of our technical training series in Dexter: Bringing Training to the Industry’s Technicians (Page 40). Additionally, based on dealership feedback and requests, we are pleased to announce a brand-new segment to the 2020 NATDA Trailer Show focusing on the lifestyle trailers that bring joy to a newer generation. The all-new NATDA Base Camp will house everything adventure trailers to overland trailers. With a growing popularity from the younger generation, it is a segment that is not only easily adopted within parts, sales and service departments, but one that will produce profitable results for dealerships of all kinds. Staying on the 2020 NATDA Trailer Show, turn to Download The Official 2020 NATDA Trailer Show App (Page 33) to learn more about the 2020 NATDA Trailer Show’s official mobile app. Due to the virus that has plagued the country, the app, as well as our new, contactless check-in process, will guarantee your time in Nashville is nothing but safe. Use the NATDA app to also navigate to the dealer events Dealer Events at the Trailer Show! (Page 35) right from your phone. In this issue, we have brought you several articles that will speed up that post-COVID recovery even further. Spader Business Management has contributed a thoughtful piece, 9 Action Items For Stabilizing And Shaping Your Future (Page 60), that gives you actual steps in preparing yourself for your rebound. TrailerCentral.com’s article, Sales Is Not About Selling Anymore (Page 62) will share insight on how to enhance the customer experience and Wil-Ro Inc. shares in Building on Heritage, Craftsmanship and Culture (Page 24) that going back to your roots is sometimes the only way to move forward. Lastly, we are excited to highlight three companies, Big Tex Trailers, LINK Trailer Parts and Redneck Trailer Supplies, that contribute a great deal to the industry itself, something of great importance in these times. We are profoundly thankful for our dealer members. Your ongoing support, especially in times of national uncertainty, allows us to continue to serve you. We look forward to seeing you in Nashville, TN from October 26-28! We look forward to seeing you in the Music City! 8 NATDA Magazine www.natda.org
