As we head into 2026, the numbers tell an interesting story. Based on member feedback on sales, manufacturing and trailer registration trends, we expect the trailer market to have an opportunity for modest growth compared to 2025, with demand strongest in utility, work trailers and replacement-driven segments. The pace of that growth will hinge on factors like financing conditions, dealer inventory management, and small-business confidence— all of which shape how quickly buyers return to the market. In short, the fundamentals matter, and NATDA will continue monitor and provide you with the tools and insights needed to navigate them.
Before we dive into what’ s next, I want to extend a sincere thank you to all our 2026 annual sponsors. Their support makes it possible for NATDA to deliver events, education, and resources that strengthen the entire trailer industry. We couldn’ t do it without you!
Speaking of events, let’ s talk about the 2026 Trailer Tech Expo powered by NATDA™, coming February 17 – 19 in Reno, NV. This is the only event dedicated to the technology, tools, and training driving the future of trailer dealerships. If you’ ve ever wished for a show that focuses on service, technician training along with innovations and technology driving growth- this is it. And for many dealers, especially those in the West, Pacific Northwest and Canada, Reno offers a more central location than our annual Nashville show. Registration is open, join us and bring your service team! You’ ll leave with actionable strategies, new business and connections that matter.
Finally, I want to congratulate the NATDA Industry Excellence Awards finalists! These awards celebrate the best in our industry— dealers, manufacturers, and vendors who set the standard in innovation, service and more. See our 2025 award nominees on page 22. The recipients will be revealed live on stage at Trailer Tech Expo during the Awards Banquet sponsored by Liberty Trailers. That’ s one more reason to join us in Reno as we recognize the leaders in our industry.
Thank you for being part of NATDA. We look forward to seeing you in Reno!
Warm regards, Andria Gibbon, CEM Executive Director, NATDA
