Hitchin’ Post Trailer Sales: Built to Last Through Every Cycle

From Campground to Cornerstone Dealer
What began as a young family’ s adventurous spirit in 1969 has grown into one of Southern Nevada’ s longest operating trailer dealerships. After a trip to Alaska at an RV campground, the Childress family returned home to Las Vegas with the idea of building their own campground.
The early exposure to the RV and trailer lifestyle sparked a vision that would shape decades of growth. By the early 1970s, their campground operation expanded to include sales of SnugTop camper shells, and in 1972, Hitchin’ Post entered the trailer and RV market with Coleman folding tent trailers. A second location on Boulder Highway soon positioned the company at the heart of the region’ s bustling RV corridor during the 1980s. As the industry shifted away from RV sales in the early 2000s, Hitchin’ Post adapted, by pivoting toward horse and utility trailers by 2000 to meet the needs of customers seeking reliability and long-term value.
