Buckner tells us , “ In the beginning we were lucky if we were building 5-10 trailers a week , it was one of those make-or-break times for us , we needed to bring on enough dealers and get the production up to a steady daily rate so we could be competitively priced .” With patience and persistence , GPS brought on one dealer after another , and pretty soon their 50,000 sq ft Georgia facility was producing up to 20 trailers a day to fill the orders necessary for their customers .
Buckner decided to go with a particular look for his trailers . One color for all of the trailers , which he calls GPS grey with clear LED lights and black wheels . The line-up includes gated trailers , dovetails , car haulers , small tractor haulers , equipment haulers , double car haulers , deckovers and , of course , utility trailers .
GPS currently has 60 dealers in 12 states including Puerto Rico . Looking ahead , they are focused on growth and plan to expand across the Mississippi and beyond . “ I think we can be competitive in any market versus any manufacturer , so there is no need to limit ourselves . We will take the same determined steady approach that got us where we are , which is delivering a high-quality product for a competitive price and providing a dealer experience that is second to none ,” says Buckner .
This year GPS will be a first-time exhibitor at the NATDA Trailer Show in Nashville if you would like to see them in person , or you can use the contact information below to get more information .
