2021 is finally here !
Though 2020 certainly had its setbacks , it was largely a good year when looking at the numbers for the entire trailer industry . While some businesses may have temporarily slowed , many areas of the economy remained open and caused an unexpected boom .
Now , as we look ahead to 2021 , it is important to remember one thing : nobody can predict what will happen from year to year . It is almost certain that nobody predicted a worldwide pandemic . However , that simply means that , as a business owner , it is important to prepare for anything . As a dealer-specific association , we scour the industry to find ways to help you do just that .
In October , we offered the first-ever Virtual NATDA Trailer Show . The digital show brought new products and services to hundreds of dealers throughout the United States and Canada without requiring them to leave their homes . In “ New Products at the 2020 NATDA Trailer Show ” ( pg 32 ), you can find a list of the new products you may have missed and learn a little more about what transpired virtually .
This year , our Senior Membership Manager , Melanie Bierweiler , researched new and innovative ways to help your business and it shows in the new membership benefits offerings we are now able to provide . Now , save money on merchant fees , provide health benefits to your employees , receive increased shipping discounts and more with a plethora of new options . Discover more in “ 2021 NATDA Member Benefits ” ( pg 40 ).
In March , we kick off a new , education-focused series with Dealer Performance Week . During this , you can find videos covering a variety of topics , including marketing , sales , and service completely free on our association ’ s YouTube page .
Lastly , it would not be a new year without the introduction of a new trailer manufacturer . We are pleased to announce that Belmont Trailers will be joining us for the 2021 NATDA Trailer Show in Nashville , Tennessee from September 1-3 , 2021 . You can read more about them in our article , “ BELMONT ” ( pg 26 ) before you meet them in person .
2020 was a surprise to everyone . Like you , we are proud of the way the trailer industry pulled together . Your support for this association only further fuels our desires to provide more for our membership base and we look forward to doing that this year .
