Our painted steel trailers are painted with a 2-component urethane primer and topcoat which have proven a superior finish in the harsh winters in the northeast . The optional hot-dipped galvanized finish has also been popular and is something we have become proficient at doing . In addition , we have the ability to support our dealers and customers with specialty and custom work requests to meet their unique applications .
NATDA : Lastly , are you displaying any new products at the 2021 NATDA Trailer Show ?
King : In addition to displaying improvements to existing models , we are introducing a new specialty equipment trailer model that will be unique to the marketplace .
NATDA : As a manufacturer , do you have any guarantees in place to ensure dealer territories are not violated ?
King : Our policy is to be fair and give dealers the room they need to be successful with our product line . The distance between dealers varies and is generally determined by population size . If we have a great dealer in a specific territory , we make sure they are taken care of . At the end of the day , if we keep dealers happy and excited about our company and products , the rest takes care of itself .
NATDA : Do you have a MAP policy ?
King : At this time , we have not experienced the need to implement a MAP policy . Our dealers recognize that they can sell the Belmont quality rather than selling on price point .
NATDA : How soon can dealers expect any warranty repair reimbursement ?
King : Normally , we do a credit towards future invoices within 10 business days , though we can send a payment as well . We do offer an industry leading 5-Year Manufacturer ’ s Warranty . While it does not cover most outside-purchased components , we have gone far beyond the stated warranty in the past to ensure that the customer is completely satisfied .
NATDA : How soon can dealers expect any replacement parts when ordered ?
King : We usually ship parts within one to two weeks after the order is received . If a customer has a trailer that is broken down and he needs parts quickly , we do what it takes to keep our dealer and the customer satisfied .
NATDA : Do you provide any product training ? If so , how often ?
King : Yes , we do . We have two outside account managers , Ed Kelly in the Northeast and Dan Schmitt in the Southeast , who prefer to go out to the dealer lots and help set up , make product suggestions , and provide training as needed . This approach has worked very well for us . We can also support our dealer ’ s openhouse and trade show events .
NATDA : Do you provide any CO-OP Advertising or Marketing reimbursement ?
King : Yes , on a case-by-case basis
