I, together with the two (2) other members of the
Professional Regulatory Board of Architecture (PRBoA),
Architects Yolanda D. Reyes and Fidel Siapno, offer our sincerest
felicitation and welcomes you to the 40th United Architects of
the Philippines National Convention, this April 9 -12, 2014, at the
SMX Convention Center, with a theme “O.N.E.: Organizationmovers. Nation-builders. Earth-movers.”
In tackling your professional endeavour at this convention,
PRBoA urges all Registered and Licensed Architects (RLA)
delegates to extend full and unqualified support to our vital
objective to fully enforce and implement of R.A. 9266 (Architecture
Act of 2004) and its derivative regulations. Let nothing or no one
weaken our resolve to strengthen and fortify our profession, which
one of the oldest and most respected profession in the world.
We are gearing toward the progressive liberalization of trade
in services and eventual removal of all barriers on regulatory
restrictions in architectural service trade. It is therefore a strong
challenge for us to engage into specialization and nurture our line
of expertise, and learn by heart international standards to enable
us to compete with our international counterpart. The IRR and
the Guidelines for ASEAN Monitoring Committee on Architectural
Services of the Philippines (AMCASP) are already approved and
we encourage all qualified RLA to register in the ASEAN Architect
Council Registry and be able to engage in providing architectural
services in the ASEAN region.
Again, the PRBoA wishes for a productive and successful
conclusion of this convention.
Mabuhay ang mga Arkitektong Pilipino!!
