Warm greetings to all!
April 9-12, 2014 date a milestone in our Organization as
we mark the United Architects of the Philippines’ 40th Annual
National Convention (NATCON).
After the withstanding preparation, the time has come
for us, Architects from local and international chapters and
allied organizations, partners and friends in the industry finally
experience the bliss in celebrating this event, the NATCON 40
and the 2014 Annual Convention of Exhibits (CONEX).
This year’s theme “O.N.E.: Organization-movers. Nation-builders. Earth-keepers.” is
appropriate and compelling not only for us, members of the UAP, but to all who are engaged
to carry out our thrust: “Protect the Profession. Promote the Practice. Serve the Members”
combined with our Corporate Social Responsibility, “Toward a Sustainable, Accessible and
Safe Society” to a higher level.
In the forty years of celebrating NATCON, we experienced joy and pain and exceeded the
several times we have been challenged and tested by diversity in opinion and emotion in the
pursuit of professional advancement. And WE, members of the UAP, continue to stand firm
and express dedication to our Profession, Professionals and Organization by being ONE. More
than intellect and skill, it entails UNITY for us to achieve all the good we desire both for our
Organization and the society.
“As an Organization, it is no longer impossible for us to accomplish something quantifiable.
But continuously, we are challenged to SERVE and ACT as ONE in restoring the dignity of
our Profession and strengthening the bond between us, Professionals.
Keeping ONE Heart, ONE Mind, ONE UAP. That is TRUE SERVICE!
Only when we start to live in the true sense of unity, can we embrace more opportunities that
will help us view and understand our purpose of becoming excellent individuals, professionals
and members of our Organization.”
These are the words I have spoken during my second inauguration which I will forever hold
true in my heart. Being a firm believer in the strength and power of ONE, I remain honored
and privileged to have been granted your trust to serve. With all the life’s lessons I’ve learned
and growth I’ve experienced, this is one journey I am grateful to have traversed.
Thank you very much and rest assured of my support in the future endeavors of our
beloved UAP.
Congratulations to us all and Mabuhay tayong lahat!
