The Pet Emporium will host this year’s annual event on August 10 and 11, from 10am to 6pm. Pet Fest goal is to help local rescue groups and shelters find homes for foster pets and to offer a venue to artisans, service providers, and vendors where they may display to the public. Edgar and Megan Sims met in 2005, remarked upon the similarities of their backgrounds and experiences in dance and mothering and realized that they shared a common focus. They both desired to be released from the internal barriers that kept them from pursuing our dreams and living with a sense of ease and freedom. The women pooled their talents and visions to explore, expand and refine aspects of a healing process that used creative expression to access hidden aspects of the self, dealing with ideas of body, identity and spirituality.
