Captains Report – Kloof Country Club . - Thursday January 18 th , 2024
Dear Nomads January game was eventually played at Kloof Country Club , having the pleasure of playing with past Captain Keith Gillespie , Keegan Redfern and Eric Mzileni , thanks gentlemen . The weather certainly did not play its part and most members would rather have spent the afternoon having a lunch with a few cold SAB beers . Considering the cold rainy misty conditions we did not have too a bad turn out , thanks to all that played .
I was delighted to hand a 15-year tie to Andre Conradie and golf bags to all our past Natal Nomads Captains . Thank you , Chad and Steve , for sorting out the bags .
Wesley Struwig proposed by Brendan DuRandt , home club Riverside Golf Club was also inducted on this occassion . Welcome Wes , I hope you have many years of good health and golf with Natal Nomads Golf Club .
A total of 59 players , 2 prospective members , Nick Forde , Craig Stokes and 2 guests contributed to the success of the day .
Thanks to Kloof Country Club committee for hosting us at very short notice , the golf course was in a playable condition considering the amount of rain over the past few weeks , and on the day . It was refreshing to note the support , and commitment by Natal Nomads to this challenging monthly game , understanding that unless the Host Club closes their golf course , the fixture will be played . Average score for the day 28.1
The division winners were : A Div = Mark Olivier 37 pts B Div = Wes Struwig 37 pts C Div = Blake Shepherd 35 pts
Most golf went to Mike Hayes 20 pts off a Hcp of 11 .

Joker draw was not won , bad luck Keith Gillespie and Gavin Bissict .
Glenbrynth 12-Year-old went to Maurice Chelin for doing the fines session .
Glenbrynth Single Malt went to Steve McClelland for the great work he does with the prize table .
