Captains Report – Athlone Golf Club . - Thursday March 28 th , 2024
Dear Nomads
March game was played at Athlone Golf Club , I had the pleasure of playing with the Captain of Athlone Mike Fetter , Philip Lewis and Tom Barff , really enjoyed the day thanks gentlemen but unfortunately , we were the hard hat brigade winners . The weather certainly played its part and the golf course was in fantastic condition and the scores on the day reflected that . The 27 Member team that went to Hornbill Nationals had a great time , the golf course was in great condition , thanks must go to Pieter Dunwoody and Eugene Barnard and their committee for a very well-run National tournament . I had the pleasure of handing out the following awards , and Inducting Craig Stokes Rob Thornhill 15-year tie Graham Blackburn 40-year tie Craig Stokes was proposed by Sean Phillips , and is a member Riverside Golf Club . Welcome Craig , I hope you have many years of good health and golf with Natal Nomads Golf Club .
A total of 64 players attended our Monthly game , 1 prospective member , Corbin Weeks , and 3 additional guests .
