Captains Report – March 2021 Amanzimtoti Golf Club – 18 March 2021 Dear Nomads
I had the privilege of playing with Colin Scorer , Amanzimtoti Golf Club Captain ; together with Richard Barker and Arnold Neveling . There was a slight lapse in concentration when Colin and I were in the process of keeping the tee boxes for 18 , but Richard and Arnold came to the party on the stroke 1 , 13 th , well done boys for escaping a bottle of Glenbrynth .
Club Captain Colin and myself pressed on , once again winning the playing pair for the 2 nd month in a row ..., Go Captains !!!
A big thank you goes to Amanzimtoti Management and staff in providing Nomads with a course in great condition and the weather to match .
Well done to all the winners , with the scores an indication of a superb day had by all .
Thank you to Greg Graham for rushing back to Prize Giving after he spent the day competing at the Duzi to read out the Creed for the 2 inductees that he proposed , namely Jason Bird and Kevin Moody ; welcome guys and may you have a long and satisfying Nomads experience .
Prize Giving was a height of excitement as many awards and presentations were bestowed on our very own Nomad comrades :
Janus Horn : 100 Game Badge , Tony Graham : 200 Game Badge , Tony Jackson : 20-year tie , Alan Van der Veen : 25-year tie ; John Ross : 35-year tie and Keith Gillespie : 40-year tie .
Well done guys , you have made us a very proud Natal Nomads club !!!
As mentioned at Prize Giving ; the core committee attended the 126 th National Committee Meeting and it was decided that individual clubs would be given the opportunity to trial NEW IDEAS . I would like to extend this invite to you as an individual Nomad to draft any ideas that Natal as a club could trial and report back to NATEX with our experiences .
I take this opportunity once again to wish you all the very best in these trying times and look forward to seeing you at Umhlali Country Club on Thursday 15 th April 2021 .
