I also had the pleasure of inducting Sean Lenz. Sean owns Lenz Communications (Pty) Ltd, and they provide ICT Infrastructure Solutions. He was proposed by Greg Graham. He plays out of Drakensberg Gardens off a handicap of 19. Welcome to Natal Nomads Sean! th st On a separate note, Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 July saw the hosting of the Drakensberg Gardens and Langham Edward trophies held at Cotswold Downs and Durban Country Club respectively. A big thank you to our Junior Vice- Captain, Johan Bothma on a sterling job done in organizing the event. It is not an easy task and you really put in the extra mile, with the changed format, the quality prizes, organizing the braai at Stokers, and fetching, carrying and entertaining our fellow nomads from Gauteng and Southern Natal. Many of the Gauteng boys definitely needed a lot of supervision in their state! Thank you also to Janus Horn who once again hosted the cocktail party on the Friday evening at Sica’s Guest House. You really put on a great spread for us, and every Nomad I spoke to the next day said how much they enjoyed their evening and how impressed they were with your hosting. Thank you Janus. As a small token of appreciation I asked Johan and Janus to come and receive a bottle of 12 year old Glenbrynth and a bottle of Single Malt Glenbrynth whisky respectively at our prize giving. Of secondary importance to the fellowship and great fun we have on these “away tour” weekend events, are the results. But for the record, Gauteng beat Natal and Southern Natal to win the Drakensberg Gardens trophy on Saturday at Cotswold and Natal defeated Gauteng on Sunday at DCC to win the Langham Edward trophy. Thank you to all the Natal Nomads that participated. Our next game is at Victoria Country Club on Thursday 22 nd August. See you then. Tom Barff Natal Nomads Captain 0832255334 – [email protected]
