Gauteng Nomads need to be complimented for an outstanding, well organized Firethorn
Nationals 2019 tournament, the weather was great, and I can vouch for the Natal Nomads
enjoyment of this event. The event lived up to expectations with new friendships, laughter
and certain individuals playing better golf than most, namely Earl Gabriel, Janus Horn, Pierre
Niekerk, and Trevor Larkan having an Exceptional Tournament.
Greg was quietly confident that Natal may return with the Bert Hunt trophy, but it was
evident early in the tournament that NATAL had succumbed to the allure of the Cowboy Bar,
Friendship and Laughter………. The Bert Hunt Trophy remains a bridge too far……… at least
until the next Nationals Tournament in East London.
