National PRO’s report to the 55 th National Council meeting held at East London Golf Club
on Saturday, 7 th March 2020

I am pleased to be able to present my last report as National PRO to the Council Meeting.
We have 5 very good and loyal National Sponsors with whom Nomads has built a solid and long-term relationship with.

I personally want to thank all those involved over the past years and I am pleased to say that all are in for the long run. A big thank you especially
to Glenbrynth who has signed up to 2029.
At the same time, we have some value-added partners who never ask for any recognition but remind me when the renewal is due; they do not ask
for any contribution, also a big thank you –

2019 was an interesting year and I thank MFC and Konica Minolta, who ended their agreement with Nomads, for their valuable support.
To seek for new sponsors is a difficult task during the down-market period, I can only call on all Nomads to support our sponsors as without them
we will not have the opportunities and have the pleasure of being a Nomad and enjoy the game of golf.
We have grown in the fact of media and with a solid relationship with Sunshine Tour “thank you Ronnie Kingwell” and also cemented a great
opportunity with Golf RSA “thank you Ken Walker”. It is pleasing to know how much Nomads really mean in terms of value to Golf in South Africa
overall.

My time has come to hand over the reign to Andrew Bullen. The past 5 years as National PRO of this wonderful organization was something I will
cherish for the rest of my life and the personal relationships I developed through the years with the National Sponsors is a friendship for life. A big
thank you must go to Philip Mixchaux, Greame Wood, Derek Cuthbert, Brian and Brenda Nathan, Antonio Rosetti, Martyn Lyndall and many others.
The support of the fellow Nomads was exceptional. To all the Captains, National Executive members, a big thank you and special mention must be
made to Ken Walker, Simon Lee, Les Floyd, Vic Hall, Eric Fisher, Richard Plumb and Peter Chown for your support in this task that no other Nomad
really understands. To Andrew Bullen, good luck, my support is available. I trust that you will get the support I had as National PRO, continue to
make Nomad a better club.
