The museum tells the story of life in the natural world in Texas from the formation of our planet, through the age of the dinosaurs, into our current environment and will showcase advanced research being done at The University that will make a positive impact on life in the future.

The Fort Bend Children’s Discovery Center (FBCDC) is a very special project of the Children’s Museum of Houston. The Discovery Center occupies a 12,000 square foot restored building and features five children's exhibits. It gives the Museum the opportunity to enrich the educational lives of Fort Bend’s children by expanding cultural and educational family-focused opportunities. The mission of FBCDC is aligned with the Children’s Museum of Houston’s mission of transforming communities through innovative, child-centered learning.
