Troup County Historical Society was founded on the dreams and determination of local citizens who were emphatic about our area’s historical relevance. In 1972, those founding members set forth a mission to ensure the preservation, provide for conservation, and plan for the education of West Georgia’s history. In 1981, a building for such work became a reality and housed an extensive genealogical library and space and equipment for the local government records repository. After thirty-six years of collecting, writing, researching, and careful planning, Legacy Museum on Main opened its doors in 2008 to critical acclaim.

Founded in 1983 as the Hellenic Museum and Cultural Center, the National Hellenic Museum (NHM) officially opened in its current location in Chicago's Greek Town neighborhood in 2011. Constructed of limestone and glass, our new museum space is representative of the artistic and technological traditions Greeks have impacted for the Classical Age to the modern day. Our mission is to share Greek history, culture and art from the ancient past to today with content that is relevant to all communities. We strive to "make the connection"

people with art and with each other. Originally created in 1912 to honor the renowned illustrator and Wilmington-native, Howard Pyle, the Museum's collection has grown to over 12,000 works of art in our building and sculpture garden. Also recognized for British Pre-Raphaelite art, the Museum is home to the largest Pre-Raphaelite collection outside of the United Kingdom, and a growing collection of significant contemporary art.

For over 100 years, the Delaware Art Museum has served as a primary arts and cultural institution in Delaware. It is alive with experiences, discoveries, and activities to connect

between the past and the present, between Greece and America, and between the Hellenic legacy and our current time. We do this because we believe there is profound value in finding the threads that bind us all together.
