The Plainsman Museum collects, preserves and illustrates the history of Hamilton County, Nebraska. Begin your “journey through yesterday” in the rotunda of the main building by viewing acclaimed murals and a mosaic floor along with exhibits detailing the history of the permanent settlement of Hamilton County and Native American artifacts. The story continues as you pass through the covered wagon and find yourself experiencing life on the plains as seen through the eyes of local African American and Immigrant pioneers.

The mission of Historic Waco Foundation is to preserve the heritage of Waco and McLennan County for generations and to present enriching diverse historical experiences for audiences of all ages. We do this through the interpretation of our three Historic House Museums: McCulloch House, East Terrace House, and Earle-Napier-Kinnard House.

Built between 1858 and 1872 our historic house museums are a window into Waco’s past.
