The Nichols House Museum offers tours of an 1804 Beacon Hill townhouse as it was occupied at the turn of the 20th century. The Nichols family was typical in their domestic habits but exceptional in their careers as artists, thinkers, and social activists. Less-remembered but equally meaningful are servant stories that also activate and enliven the period spaces.
