Telling A People's Story: African-American Illustrated Children's Literature, the traveling panel exhibition, is circulated by the Miami University Art Museum.
For the first time, African-American children’s illustrated literature is the focus of a museum exhibition featuring art produced for pictures books. Telling A People's Story is a ground-breaking lens into the cultural, historical, and social makeup of African-American identity. Woven into the context is an examination of the long-overlooked work of African-American authors and illustrators in the pantheon of children’s literature.

Fabrice Monteiro: The Prophecy
Confronted with threats of ecological destruction in Senegal, West Africa, photographer Fabrice Monteiro (Belgian/Beninese, born 1972) began a multi-year project to raise awareness about the environment and the consequences of mass consumption. He combined storytelling, fashion photography, and photojournalism in a body of work collectively entitled The Prophecy in order to highlight site-specific environmental issues within the context of West African culture and traditional beliefs.
