Founded in 1971, the Herreshoff Marine Museum in Bristol, Rhode Island, is dedicated to preserving and celebrating the legacy of the Herreshoff Manufacturing Company and the America’s Cup. The Museum houses an extraordinary collection of classic yachts, maritime artifacts, and historic documents, and serves as a center for education, innovation, and stewardship of Rhode Island’s rich nautical heritage. The museum’s mission is to educate, support, and inspire the next generation of sailors through sailing & STEM education programs.

The North Texas Society of History & Culture | Tales 'N' Trails Museum believes that the legacy of the past enhances and enriches the lives of current and future generations. We strive to preserve and interpret our history through exhibits, programs, and archives that will evoke an appreciation of our shared heritage, inspire a vision for our future, and protect the memories of our past. Our five areas of focus include the Leather Industry (Nocona Boot and Justin Boot both started here, Nokona Baseball Gloves, Dell Motley Inspirational Leather Art), Native American Culture (Comanche, Wichita, Taovaya, Chief Quanah Parker, Chief Peta Nokonie), Western Heritage (Chisholm Trail and Red River Station), Oil and Gas Industry, and Agriculture. We offer a scavenger hunt for the kids and a station to try your hand at leather tooling. We are ADA accessible and dog friendly, have picnic tables and have visitor information.
