Free Virtual Lecture Series

Presented by the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art

The Cedar Rapids Museum of Art (CRMA) has hosted a series of free Zoom lectures in conjunction with its landmark exhibition Grant Wood Revealed: Rarely Seen Works by American Master and its two companion exhibitions Seriously Funny: American Gothic Parodies and Americans in Paris: Grant Wood and Marvin Cone’s 1920 Trip to Paris.

Each of the speakers have tackled different aspects of Wood’s art and his lasting legacy.  Wood remains as relevant today as he did in his lifetime, cut short by pancreatic cancer at the age of 50.  This Zoom lecture series are the perfect opportunity to revisit Wood’s artistic output and its impact.
