Elemore Morgan, Sr.: Louisiana in Black and White
Featuring 60 select black and white photographs by Elemore Morgan, Sr., this collection was a gift made in 1992 to the Alexandria Museum of Art from the International Paper Corporation. Morgan created an important visual record of mid- 20th century folk ways, rural life, indigenous architecture and landscapes in Louisiana.

Sketches to Sculptures, Rendered Reality:
Sixty Years with Marshall M. Fredericks
This unique exhibition represents a 60-year body of work by Marshall M. Fredericks (1908-1998), a 20th century traditional figurative sculptor whose sculptures are located in California, Florida, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Nebraska, Nevada, New York, Ohio, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, Washington, DC, Wisconsin, Denmark, England, Freeport Grand Bahama Island, Japan, Norway and Sweden. The exhibition features 30 bronze sculptures; 2 bronze
reliefs; an anodized aluminum relief; archival reproductions of 35 drawings and sketches by Marshall Fredericks; a photograph and a letter; and black and white photographs in situ of seven of Fredericks’s sculptures.
