The Columbia Gorge Discovery Center & Museum is the official interpretive center of the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. Or mission is to inspire stewardship of the Columbia River Gorge and Wasco County and to encourage active, life-long learning about our shared environment and the preservation, collection and interpretation of cultural and natural history of the region. We have standing exhibitions that explore the geologic, natural and human history of the Columbia River Gorge and we have a number of educational programs and events and temporary exhibitions that align with our mission. Our beautiful museum sits on a cliff overlooking the Columbia River and is surrounded by purposefully curated native plants and trails.
